Jonathan Haidt - The Real Difference Between Conservatives and Liberals



This is what Oliver DeMille talks about. This is being part of the great debate. This is what I am striving for everyday and I think I'm doing pretty well. I certainly have my own opinions and ideas but I try to keep my mind open at all times and even if I reject something, it is only after much thought and consideration.

I just finished reading his article "What Makes People Vote Republican?" but didn't know about his TED speech...thanks for posting this!

George Lakoff helped me to find coherence in the conservative worldview, and Haidt may just get me to empathize with it...at least a little.

Thanks again for posting this video; I'll probably be checking out Haid't book The Happiness Hypothesis the next time I visit the library.
